Just returned from a much needed and wonderful vacation with my husband in the USVI. We spent a week in St.Thomas with day trips to St. John and Jost Van Dyk. I must say, I've never eaten so much good food!
Our favorite spot is a new restaraunt, just opened up in American Yacht Harbour in Red Hook. Fish Tails. It overlooks the marina, and lots of awesome fishing yachts. We ate there 3 times, it was so good! Our favorite was the catch of the day, we had tuna, mahi and blackened queen snapper. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Prices were reasonable too. A must try in St. Thomas if you are ever there!
Our favorite on St. John is an establishment that's been there for 30 years. Cafe Roma You would never think you could get great Italian food on a Caribbean island, but boy did we! I had the Veal Giuseppe, a baked veal/eggplant parmesean type dish and Blake had the Rajun' Cajun, an out of this world andouille sausage/chicken/pasta dish in a spicy cream sauce. Oh, I wish they were right down the street! (But my waistline is glad their not!)
If you are ever on the islands, you must check out these 2 great spots! We can't say enough about them!
Want to take your own boat ride around the islands to see places like Foxy's, The Soggy Dollar, Virgin Gorda? Call Captain Alex of Sun Sea Charters! He's the best!

Archibalds Tavern in Holly Springs
Checked it out last night, it was pretty good. The food was average bar food, but very nice and would make a great spot for drinks!

Southern Loop of I540 to start in 2014.
I'm so excited that the loop from NW Cary to Holly Springs is on its way! I actually could see dirt moving the last time I rode out there! It will make getting to North Raleigh so much easier! I am not so concerned about the toll road aspect, as I will not have to use it on a daily basis, but thankful for the growth it will bring to our side of town!
